With the Eagle Ford Shale in full swing the need for drilling mud was in immediate demand. Not knowing the longevity of the play, it was determined that a temporary mud mixing plant was required. After extensive research and review with the Client, a hybrid plant was designed. Majority of the facility was designed to be transportable with the containment foundations and concrete chemical yard being the only permanent piece.

The final plant consisted of mud mixing tanks with hoppers & full mezzanine access, storage tanks, barite silos, brine water tanks, truck scale and control room. Also included at the facility was a tensile structure chemical warehouse, chemical storage yard, a portable office/lab trailer and portable living quarter trailers.
